Looking For A Place to Hang Our Hats

Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Life is filled with being busy!
You are either busy at home, busy with work, or both!
Life is filled with being busy!

For the Wilsons we have decided to see how busy we can be at this particular season in life. Kaleb is busy pursing his degree in Petroleum Engineer, which most of the time sounds like a foreign language.  I am busy with pursuing the title of "Rookie of the Year" at work, which leads to many stressful nights. And yet with all of this wonderful busyness we have also decided to throw a few more curve balls into the ball pin.

As of this past weekend we are officially on the hunt for our "Dream Home" or as close to that as we can find in the Denver market. The housing market here in Denver is extremely stressful! Houses are going quickly, and many to cash offers. So in order to find a home that we are okay with purchasing, but also knowing that they there is some wiggle room we created our must have list.

Dream Home Must Have List
  • A Fire Place (you can't live in beautiful Colorado and not have a fire place!)
  • Four Bedrooms (room to grow)
  • A Finished Basement (with neither of our families living here it is vital to have a place for them to stay)
  • Room For An 8 Person Dinning Room Table ( I really enjoy hosting the holidays)
  • The Perfect Spot For Our Christmas Tree (I really like Christmas)
As we move through this journey we have decided to daily passionately pray about the home the Lord has for us. We know that he moved us to the Denver area, and we know that he has called us to Harvest Bible Chapel. Now we are passionately praying that he moves us into an area that we can grow with our community, share his word, and raise our little family. We are daily praying for the walls that will someday surround us, the roof that someday will guard us from the storms, and the love that will run wild through that home.

I am excited to share this next journey with you. :)

XOXO,
B

Top 10 Tips for Flying with an Infant

Last week we spent the entire week in Cincinnati for the national veterans wheelchair games, which was probably one of the most incredible experiences of my life, but we will save that for a different post. We met great people, had wonderful conversation, and took our sweet girl on her first airplane ride. Being the crazy mom that I am, I stressed about the plane ride for far to long and made way to many mental notes on how to survive it. I asked everyone who had ever flown with a child what to do and received some great advice. My goal is to break it down into the top 10 things you "need" in order to survive flying with a baby! 1. Plastic Bags are Your Friend Prior to heading out to the airport I separated Ellie's diaper back with gallon size baggies. I had all her diapers and wipes packed in one, toys in another, and food in it's own. It made fast diaper changes before take off a breeze, as well as finding snacks in the air. Everything had its place an...

To Everything There Is A Season

Ecclesiastes 3:1-15 New International Version (NIV) A Time for Everything 3  There is a time   for everything,      and a season for every activity under the heavens: 2       a time to be born and a time to die,      a time to plant and a time to uproot, 3       a time to kill   and a time to heal,      a time to tear down and a time to build, 4       a time to weep and a time to laugh,      a time to mourn and a time to dance, 5       a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,      a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, 6       a time to search and a time to give up,      a time to keep and a time to throw away, 7       a time to tear and a time to mend,      a time to be silent  an...

Ten Months

Hello My Tiny Best Friend,  Well here I sit looking back on month ten with you just two days prior to writing your eleven month post. Maybe its a form of denial, maybe we are just to busy all the time, or maybe mama just hasn't had those writing juices flowing in a while. No matter the reason I need to get these words down before they are lost down the rabbit hole and forever forgotten.  This month we celebrated your monthly birthday in Albuquerque in the middle of our week long stay with GG so daddy could handle somethings at the VA. Our trip to Albuquerque seemed to gain excitement as soon as you turned ten months with our first visit to the ER after you knocked your head on GG's counter while taking a sink bath. You were fine, mama was not. Two weeks later we were back in the ER because you had a virus and needed an IV. Once again you took it like a champ, mama did not. I believe I cried equally as much as you did. My heart has never broken as much as it did t...
