Three Months

Hello Little Lady,  You are a fourth of a way through the most incredible year. Your little personality is shinining through more and more every day and I love seeing you change. When you are home with Mom and Dad you are filled with coos, smiles, and squeaks yet when we are out you are quiet, peaceful, and observant. Your smile lights up the world, your squeaks are the sweetest sounds I have ever heard, and your cuddles, your cuddles prove to me that my arms were made to hold you forever. You were made for me and I was made for you.  The lord knit you together in my womb and kept you for nine wonderful months. He then trusted your Dad and me to fill your life with love, guidance from the lord, and wisdom that can only be found through him. For these reasons on February 4th 2017 at Harvest Bible Chapel we dedicated ourselves to seek the lord first and foremost in raising you. This was one of the most wonderful days that we have experienced with you. It was simple, ...

Two Months

Hello Little Baby, You are two perfect months old and I am lost in a world of love with you. You are the best teacher I have ever had. You have taught me that life must be flexible. That the best moments are far from planned. That in order to love you more I must first love myself. That being covered in your poo after changing a blow out is not a tragedy but a beautiful moment of motherhood. You have shown me what unconditional love is and have allowed me to feel unconditional love. I love learning motherhood with you as my sidekick.  Month two was a very busy month with so many firsts for you. You celebrated your first Christmas spent here at your first home. You spent it with your mama and daddy as well as both sets of grandparents your Aunt Katie and Uncle Cody even made the trip to spend the time with you. You had your first visit from Santa who brought you a beautiful jewelry box, while momma and daddy gave you a gold elephant snow globe. You also welcom...

Eloise Jeanne's Birth Story

Today marks two weeks since we brought our princess home to Dusk Way, two weeks since we started this grand adventure of parenthood without nurses and doctors guiding us along the way. Yet, I have been trying to process her birth for the last 17 days. I have gone over with doctors, nurses, my incredible husband, and my sweet mom the events that happened over two days that eventually led to bringing our daughter into the world. So today, two weeks after we have come home, I sit here to type out Eloise's birth story in hopes of possibly finding some understanding, or at least to have it documented. Ellie's birth story is actually much longer than just her birth, it started two the week prior to ever moving forward with her induction. On November 10th I contacted my doctor after suffering from a severe headache (almost migraine like) for two days, I was extremely swollen, and had been vomiting. I will never forget the terror I felt when Nikki, our nurse, called m...

March 30th

The last two months of our lives have been a complete whirlwind of emotion, stress, and utter joy!  On March 19th we were able to endure our first IUI, where I laid very similar to Phoebe in Friend's and prayed with my husband that this would be our first and last IUI. We went in with hopeful heart's and praying minds, and knew the lord had a plan. The following weekend we went on vacation to San Diego where I unfortunately began  to believe that our IUI had not worked, and that we were not pregnant. I experienced cramps, was grumpy to my poor family, and walked around feeling like Shamu on the beach. So obviously I wasn't pregnant, right... Fast forward to March 30th, two days before I was technically supposed to test. It was a Wednesday night, a Wednesday night where I  obsessively thought about nothing else but that I wasn't pregnant. I did what any mildly obsessed woman going though infertily treatments would do, and tested. I jumped in the bath and pretended th...

Unwavering Faith

Jesus replied, "Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done . Matthew 21:21 This weekend I experience God's mercy time and time again, and was reminded to have unwavering faith in our Sovereign King.  All of last week I spent every other day in and out of the doctor's office as we waited to get the go ahead on our first IUI. My first appointment was on Monday, and my follicles were much to small, measuring in at 11 mm and 12 mm, they must be at least 17 to move forward with the process. I proceed to go and have an ultrasound and blood draw through out the week.  I was prescribed a new medication that was suppose to speed up the growth of the follicles, and let me tell you that this new medicine was quite the adventure.  This lovely little needle was used to stab myself every night for four nigh...

All I Want For Christmas

All I want for Christmas is something that can't be bought... All I want for Christmas is something that stores don't sell... All I want for Christmas is something that can't be planned... See all I want for Christmas is a Baby... I know it sounds absolutely crazy, and the reality is I have thought about writing this post for sometime.  We have been "trying to conceive" since September of 2014.  After we got married in June of 2014 we enjoyed a few months of newlywed bliss, before the idea of growing our sweet family started stewing in our heads. In October of last year I thought for certain our first round of progesterone had worked, and that we would be expecting our own little addition. I waited those three wonderful minutes, and quickly discovered I was certainly not pregnant.  Months went on, and on. The treatments continued, and I tried everything from acupuncture to eating everything under the sun that was supposed to h...

Rambles: Baby Baby Oh Baby

I don't know about y'all, but its like the moment after we said "I do" this huge burdon of popping out babies is put on your shoulders. All of a sudden I feel as though I should be nesting, or joining a mommy group, or something along those lines. It's not only the pressure that comes from others, but the pressure I put upon my myself.  You may ask why in the world I would want to hurry up and put my body through such a traumatic experience, and the honest to goodness answer is I have no idea! The reality is I actually 100% do not want babies yet. I want to sleep in, go to the movies without a sitter, and enjoy MY TIME!   So the question remains... Why oh Why do I have baby fever??? Does anyone have answers? Comments? Advice on waiting? Advice on going for it?  This article has 10 things to do before you have kids, which I absolutely love!  http://www.beliefnet.com/Love-Family/Relationships/10-Things-to-do-Before-You-Have-Kids.aspx?p=5&u...
